Event Postponed: The Golden Ticket Raffle
Event Completed!
When: Friday, March 13, 2020 - Thursday, May 14, 2020
Where: Junior Achievement of Ashtabula County
Time: 9:45 AM ET
Postponed: Due to economic uncertainties of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) impact on area businesses, families and indviduals, JA Ashtabula County will be postponing the Golden Ticket Raffle. JA's primary concern is for the well-being and health of the entire community.
This is a 50/50 raffle. We are selling 200 Goldent Tickets at $100 each. This means $10,000 for the lucky winner! (If not all 200 tickets are sold, the winner will win half of the total ticket sales.)
It also means $10,000 towards keeping Junior Achievement in the county. What can Junior Achievement do with that $10,000?
JA could provide Junior Achievement programming to 1,000 students. Junior Achievement assessments show that students who participate in JA demonstrate significantly higher critical thinking and problem-solving skills than their counterparts. The majority of middle school students reported that JA helped them recognize the importance of education and motivated them to work harder to achieve educational and work goals.
JA Volunteers and teachers recognize that middle school students understand more about personal finance, business, and economic concepts after participating in JA programs. With the community's continued support, Junior Achievement will be able to provide programs for every 7th and 8th grade student in the county (all public school districts).
This a win/win $100 investment! The chance to win $10,000 is just the icing on the cake! (A lot of icing!) -- Winner keeps the FULL amount. There is NO expectation of any portion of the winnings to be donated back to JA. We would like to repeat this fundraiser each year so we want to set this precedent-- Winner takes all!
