Postponed: Due to economic uncertainties of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) impact on area businesses, families and indviduals, JA Ashtabula County will be postponing the Golden Ticket Raffle. JA's primary concern is for the well-being and health of the entire community.

Conneaut Middle School will be hosting its second JA Innovation Challenge on May 20th. Each classroom will become a think tank with different teams of students challenged with creating a new flavor of blizzard for the local Dairy Queen. Teachers and Volunteers in the classroom will present the JA Innovation Challenge Curriculum which includes lessons on marketing and business plans and finally the children will be designing a creative "pitch" to sell their idea to the CEO of the local Dairy Queen. There will be elimination rounds with judging within each classroom and then grade level. There will be a contenders from each grade level that will advance to the final platform of pitching their idea to Keith Shreiber, owner of the Conneaut Dairy Queen. The winning team's blizzard flavor will be offered at the local Dairy Queen this summer
